What's In The Garden
Details of what I've planted
Gladiola, Gladiolus,(plural Gladioli), various

Planted: Spring 2000, Spring 2001, Spring 2002
Flowers: June/July
Height: 3-5'
Width: 6-8"
Soil: Moist, well-drained
Light: Full Sun

About:
Care: Even though I live in zone 6, I've never dug these corms.
Notes: In spring of '04 I thinned beds in the southwest corner near the tree. Left 1/2 the bed alone closest to the street since there were many poppies growing and I wanted to see how a thinned bed vs. a 3rd year growth bed compares. Removed all glads from the "smile" bed. Left the south center bed and Rt. 60 bed alone. New double row bed across the front (Cleveland Ave.) from thinned bulbs. Other bulbs to Bill & Peggy's new house.
Problems: The grasshoppers seem to love the glads planted in the southwest corner. Source: K-Mart, Lowes, Wal-Mart
